A call to serve – Ilechukwu embraces opportunity to serve as Super Eagles Assistant Coach

Newly appointed Super Eagles assistant coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has expressed his dedication to serving the nation following his selection by interim manager Augustine Eguavoen.

Eguavoen selected Ilechukwu, head coach of Enugu Rangers, alongside Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars to assist him in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

Ilechukwu, acknowledged the appointment as both an honor and an opportunity for further hard work.

“A call to serve Nigeria and opportunity for more hard work and we will never take this for granted,” Ilechukwu said. 

 “Thank you for the good wishes and the congratulatory messages. I’m humbled.”

Ilechukwu’s experience and dedication will be valuable assets to the coaching staff.
