Edo Queens thrash AS Garde 5-0 to start CAF Women’s Champions League campaign 

Edo Queens FC have made a strong statement of intent in their bid to conquer Africa, with a resounding 5-0 victory over AS Garde Nationale in their opening match of the WAFU-B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers.

The Nigerian champions showcased their dominance from the outset, with Emem Essien breaking the deadlock in the 35th minute. 

Suliat Abideen doubled the lead before halftime, and Blessing Iliveda, Esther Moses, and Joy Jerry added further goals in the second half to seal a comprehensive victory.

The performance sets the tone for Edo Queens’ campaign and positions them as strong contenders for the WAFU-B title. 

Their next match against Hasaacas Ladies will be crucial in determining their progress to the next stage of the competition.
