For the second time, Nigeria will host the All-African University Games, as the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Lagos State University (LASU) collaborate to create an unforgettable experience.
The collaboration will spotlight Lagos as a key hub for African student-athletes, uniting competitors from countries like Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya.
Athletes will showcase their skills in football, basketball, volleyball, and more, representing their universities and years of dedicated effort.
UNILAG Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, shared her inspiring words with TEAM UNILAG, “I know you are going for gold, and we are rooting for you. We believe in your strength and determination.”
In preparation for this grand event, changes are being made to the courts and venues to ensure optimal comfort and performance for the athletes.
As Lagos prepares to welcome student-athletes from across Africa, we are reminded of the power of sports to unite, celebrate diversity, and foster excellence.
