Fatima, Peseiro’s wife and mother of the bride, was also seen radiating happiness and dancing with excitement.
Fatima is known for her unwavering support of her husband, frequently cheering him on during matches.
A Look at Peseiro’s Coaching Career
A former player himself, Peseiro has extensive experience managing teams, particularly in Arab nations, including a stint with the Saudi Arabia national team.
In late 2021, he initially agreed to take over the Super Eagles from Gernot Rohr but ultimately did not participate in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations as planned.
The deal fell through, and Augustine Eguavoen remained as the team’s manager for the tournament.
Finally, in May 2022, Peseiro’s appointment as the Super Eagles head coach was confirmed.
He led the team to a runner-up finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, narrowly losing to Ivory Coast in the final.
He earned him the prestigious Order of the Niger honor from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Peseiro’s tenure with the Super Eagles ended in March 2024.
