Chelsea’s proposed move for Atletico Madrid’s promising forward, Samu Omorodion, has unexpectedly collapsed.
Despite reaching a £34.5 million agreement with Atletico and offering Omorodion a lucrative seven-year contract, the deal has fallen through due to unspecified issues during the final stages of contract negotiations.
The 20-year-old had shown impressive form on loan at Deportivo Alaves last season, scoring nine goals and providing one assist. His performances attracted interest from Chelsea, who were looking to bolster their attacking options.

This setback for Chelsea comes as they are also engaged in negotiations with Napoli for both Romelu Lukaku and Victor Osimhen.
It’s worth noting that while born to Nigerian parents, Omorodion has committed his international future to Spain.
The collapse of this deal will undoubtedly force Chelsea to reassess their transfer strategy and explore alternative options to strengthen their squad.
