Nasarawa United defeat Mailantarki in NNL Preseason Friendly

Nasarawa United were able to weather an early red card scenario as they came from behind to win the bragging rights over resilient Mailantarki Football Academy in an entertaining but pulsating friendly clash on Sunday morning at the FIFA Goal Project Field, National Stadium Abuja.

The fellow Nigeria National League side shocked the Solid Miners when Mohammed Hashim put them ahead in the 15th minute.

Nigerian junior international , Francis Ayuba, however, scored from the spot, ten minutes before the break, following a foul on Chinedu Ohanachom, to bring United on level terms.

Upon resumption, centre back, Emeka Onyema, was shown the marching order after being found wanting by the centre referee, reducing the Solid Miners to ten men.

With ball possession at par, United showed their professional superiority over their opponents, with Adamu Hassan scoring a beauty, twelve minutes before the full-time whistle.

The Coach Adams Usman-tutored wards held on to the scoreline till the full-time whistle, to restart their one hundred percent form in their Abuja Pre-Season tour.
