Naija Ratels coach, Bankole Olowookere, is optimistic that his team will recover from their 1-0 loss to Rivers Angels in the President Federation Cup final at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

He expressed this sentiment during a post-match conference following their second-place finish in the 2024 President Federation Cup final.

“Are Rivers Angels superior to us the answer is No is just luck the luck just came for them but that’s a game for you luck is part of football we will go back and work harder” Bankole said.

Coach Bankole mentioned that Rivers Angels were not superior to Naija Ratels in the game where her team struggled to capitalize on their opportunities.

“I don’t want us to create the wrong impression the national team has been in existence before I joined Naija Ratels it’s a privilege for me to coach the national team every other coach will dream of coaching the national team” coach Bankole added.

Bankole also implored both private and government entities to prioritize girls’ sports careers and provide them with the necessary support for their career growth.
