The Black Scorpions football club has a new leader on the pitch as Gabriel Olaleye has been appointed head coach following the unexpected resignation of Niyi Oyekale. Oyekale stepped down just before their match against Ogbomosho United.
Olaleye finds himself at the helm of a team struggling in the NLO league. Founded just a few months ago by former Nigerian sports minister Sunday Dare, the Black Scorpions currently languish at the bottom of their group. Their record so far: is one draw and five defeats in six matches.
