Epe defeats Ibeju Lekki in NYCN Epe Division friendly game

National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Epe Branch defeated Ibeju Lekki branch 6-2.

The friendly football match was held on Saturday, 11th November, 2023 in commemoration of the International Youth Day 2023.

The epic clash was held at Sen. Tokunbo Mini Stadium, Epe, Lagos, that witnessed the coming together of local talents from Epe Division in a lighthearted yet spirited display of the beautiful game. It was a riveting display of skill, determination and youthful exuberance.

The eight aside friendly match was characterized by a relaxed yet competitive atmosphere, allowing players to express their skills and enjoy the sport without the intense pressure of a formal competition but rather focusing instead on fostering connections and community unity. The emphasis was on sportsmanship, teamwork, and the joy of playing the game they love. Though, the journey to triumph was marked by intense match, strategic brilliance, and unwavering teamwork that captured the hearts of fans and showcased the true essence of the beautiful game.

Comrade Giwa Moshood Olasupo, the immediate past Coordinator, NYCN Epe in his remarks appreciate the leadership of NYCN Epe Division for thinking of an event like this to bring the youths together in unity and harmony and charged them to continue doing more as we foaster the best relationship expected of us. He said he will continue to give NYCN the necessary support expected of him and pray we keep excelling in all ramifications.

The Youth Council aims to continue organizing such friendly encounters, fostering a sense of unity and shared experiences among the youth of Epe Division. We aim to continue building on the positive momentum, organizing more opportunities for youth to come together, play, and create lasting memories.
