NWFL: Sunshine Queens vows to beat Robo Queens in Lagos

The head coach of Sunshine Queens, Abimbola Oladimeji, has vowed they are in Lagos to beat Robo Queens in the Nigeria Women Football Club (NWFL) matchday two clash.

The gaffer revealed this during the last training at the Mobolaji Jhonson Arena on Tuesday evening.

NAIRA SPORTS reported that Edo Queens thrashed Robo Queens in the season opener to Edo Queens, and Sunshine Queens was forced to a 1-1 draw by former champions Bayelsa Queens in Akure.

Abimbola continued that they respected Robo Queens, saying they are pacesetters for other clubs in the League.

“We should expect another upset against Robo Queens, and we are just coming up. You know they were in the Premiership for the past season, and we were not there. Be rest assured, Sunshine Queens will laugh last tomorrow. We are here for a maximum of three points.

“Lagos is everybody’s home, and it’s not for Robo. We are in Lagos, our home, so don’t worry, we will carry the day.

“Robo Queens is a very dependable team in Lagos State. It’s a pacesetter to all the clubs in Lagos, so we respect them on that for youth development, but when it gets to the pitch, we don’t respect them.”

The encounter will kick off at 2. p.m. at the Mobolaji Jhonson Arena.
