Ogun SWAN Security Cup: We are the household of Sports – NSCDC

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun State director of Sports Ast Com. Fadipo Sunday has revealed that they are the household of sports.

Fadipo disclosed to NAIRA SPORTS after eliminating the defending champions, of the OGUN state SWAN Security Cup.

NSCDC eliminated Customs in the first semi final of the third edition at the Training pitch of the MKO Abiola Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta on Wednesday.

The game ended in a 1-1 before NSCDC sealed the victory at the end of the penalty shootout.

Reacting after the victory, Fadipo told NAIRA SPORTS that they learned from their mistakes last season and worked on them.

He said, “I am Very happy for the victory ecause we’ve been working on it. You know we are the inaugural champions. And last year due to a mistake on our side, we were unable to repeat our victory of the first edition. 

“This time around, we went back to the drawing board to make sure that we will this third edition. 

“In sports, we are the household name, that’s why the Commandant invested in it, In the era of bodybuilding a lot and to justify the support and love for sports. I’m very happy that we are going to play the final third edition.”

NSCDC will face the winner of the second semifinal between Police and Correctional.
