African Games: Debutants Uganda touch down in Ghana

The Uganda U-20 Women’s National team, Queen Cranes, are among the latest arrivals in Ghana for the 13th edition of African Games.

Left the country on Wednesday afternoon, the contingent is now safe in Cape Coast city where the women football tournament will take place.

Not like the male counterparts, the ladies are making their maiden appearance at the multi-Sport event.

In the opening fixture, Uganda play neighbors Tanzania on 9th March, then Ethiopia three days later, and conclude group A action with hosts Ghana on 15th March.

Travelled with a 20 player squad, the East African side is coached by South African international Sherly Botes.
