The East African representatives will hope to pour more misery onto Nigeria after their male counterparts defied odds to beat Flying Eagles in the opener.

Uganda U-20 Women’s National team take on holders Falconets in Semi-finals of the Women’s football tournament on Monday.

The highly contested clash is scheduled to take place at Cape Coast Stadium with both nations eyeing a spot in the finals.

Making debut at the African Games, Uganda have been a force to reckon at the 13th edition of the multi-Sport event.

Yet to concede defeat, Uganda were runner-ups from group A which had hosts Ghana, Ethiopia and regional neighbors, Tanzania.

For opponents Nigeria, they managed to top group B, winning all their games against Morocco ( 2-0), and Senegal ( 4-0).

Tipped as favorites, Danjuma’s side now need to overcome Uganda’s test if they are to reclaim the gold they won in 2019.

In the other Semi-final clash, the Black Princesses of Ghana play Senegal few hours later at the same venue.
