With two days to go until the commencement of the 34th edition of the African Nations Cup, supporters of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, the Supporters Club, have landed in Abidjan to cheer the Super Eagles to victory.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria arrived in Abidjan courtesy of a chartered flight on Wednesday and will be looking to play their first match on Sunday.
The Super Eagles were welcomed at the airport by the Supporters Club, all in high spirits, singing, chanting, and displaying Nigerian spirits in an attempt to boost the morale of the players.
Speaking with Hassan Abdusalam in Abidjan, the excited fans urged the national team to go for victory and alongside the popular trend on the streets of the country, “No gree for anybody.”
A Supporters Club member speaking in Yoruba and translating said, “This year’s Nation’s Cup is our turn, Nigeria will win this by the special grace of God, and God will make it possible, amen.”
The Super Eagles arrived in Abidjan and had a quick training session under the floodlights as they prepare to begin their quest for another AFCON trophy.
