Betsy Obaseki women football tournament: Heartland Queens to battle Edo Queens in Quarter finals

Heartland Queens football club of Owerri was denied an opportunity to top the group table when they lost to defending champions FC Robo Queens 1-3 at the ongoing Betsy Obaseki women football tournament in Benin city Edo state on Thursday 26th of October. 

The Owerri Landladies drew first blood when Chinedu gift converted from the spot to give Heartland Queens the lead. 

FC Robo Queens of Lagos reacted with the equalizer 5 minutes later and afterwards took the lead for the first time 20 minutes later. 

Heartland Queens efforts to find the equalizer failed to yield results as the Lagosians found an opportunity to extend the lead to 3-1. 

Heartland Queens will now prepare to battle the host club in the quarter finals of the competition on Saturday 28th.
