Heartland Queens bows out of BOWFT, applauds organizers

Heartland Queens football club of Owerri has applauded Edo state government and the Organizers of Betsy Obaseki Women football tournament for a successful outing in Benin city, Heartland Queens media can exclusively report.

The Owerri Landladies was one of the 13 teams who participated in the tournament and they engaged Royal Queens, Fortress Ladies , FC Robo Queens and then Edo Queens in the Quarter finals.

BOWFT was organized to international standard and has been rated the best women preseason tournament in Africa according to FIFA rating.

The tournament was aimed at putting a total stop to gender based violence and also empowering the girl child.

To this effect the entire management, coaching crew, players of Heartland Queens and the Imo state government appreciates the organizers of the tournament and also Edo state government for successfully putting together such competitions aimed at supporting the girl child.

Heartland Queens FC departed Benin city back to Owerri on Sunday the 29th of October and will look to round up their preseason tour with one home match in Owerri in few days time.

Heartland Queens Lucky Mary was named Man of the match twice against Royal Queens and against Edo Queens courtesy of Multichoice Nig limited.

Other star performer was Iheoma Chinyere, Chidinma Anele, Chinedu Gift, Emmanuella James, Ekezie Onyedikachi, Joy Emamino, Oluomachi Sharon, Kate Apkata and others.
