Legendary goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has recently disclosed that he was deeply hurt by how the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) treated him during his time with the Super Eagles.
Enyeama, who recently received an honorary degree from the University of Uyo, has shed light on the circumstances that led to his abrupt retirement from the Super Eagles.
In an interview with Hotsportsng, Enyeama expressed that he felt disrespected by the NFF under the leadership of Amaju Pinnick.
He stated, “I was treated as a sheet of paper and disrespected, which led me to create a block with the national team.”
Despite the past grievances, the former Lille of Metropole goalkeeper has now revealed that he is gradually reconnecting with the national team.
Enyeama shared that he is beginning to follow their progress after feeling mistreated.
