NPFL: Insurance Survives Savannah Tigers’ Jungle in Gombe

Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin,on Wednesday subdued Doma Utd of Gombe state to pick their first away point, after a goalless draw in the rescheduled Match Day Six of the Nigeria Premier Football League(NPFL).

The Benin Arsenals, conscious of the potentials in the technically sound Doma Utd side who thrashed Gombe Utd 3-0 on Sunday, at the same Pantami stadium, approached the game courteously as goalkeeper Amas Obasogie and the defenders Benjamin Tanimu, Sunday Anyanwu, Julius Emiloju, Stanley Okorom, including Sodje Stephens and Tamara Ezikiel were alive to their responsibilities in curtailing the roaring Savannah Tigers to survive in the savannah jungle.

Insurance FC lost 1-0 to Gombe Utd in the Match Day 4 encounter at the same Pantami stadium, Gombe and did everything to avoid similar mistakes against Doma Utd in their second coming to the Pantami stadium.

The rescheduled Match was the first clash between Insurance FC and Doma Utd in the premier league and second meeting ever, after NNL 2021/22 season ending Super Four in Yenagoa,Beyelsa which the Benin Arsenals won 2-1.

Insurance FC now have eleven points from the six games they have played so far to occupy seventh position on the log.
