NWFL: Bayelsa Queens Unveils 10 Players ahead of New Season

Bayelsa Queens football club has unveiled some players for the 2023/2024 season of the NWFL Premiership.

Fehintola Mabokanje, Edeh Loveth, Fubiana Okeinaye Briggs, Jennifer Oliver, Favour Dagogo, Rose Ekong, Dooshima Tarmun, Yemisi Samuel, Mercy Omokwo and Mabel Effiong have all been unveiled as new Bayelsa Queens players.

The unveiling ceremony took place at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, on Saturday after which club Chairman Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala gave an address: “We’re already thinking here about winning the League.

That’s the big dream now for all of us who are united by this universal allegiance that is Bayelsa Queens. We’re working hard to achieve it and once again accomplish something that to many may appear to be impossible. We’ve got a great squad. Several of our players have achieved a new feat in the history of the game.”

Pastor Apreala said they are convinced that the players who are joining Bayelsa Queens are great players who will help the club to continue to improve and make their club members and supporters even happier.

“Today marks the start of a chapter in your life that you all will be proud of in the future as the Bayelsa Queens shirt represents the biggest legacy in the history of the game and when you wear it, as well you know, we never give up. From now on, you’ll experience some unique feelings and moments that will stay with you for the rest of your life” Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala added.

Fehintola Mabokanje who spoke on behalf of other players said “Bayelsa Queens Football Club is the greatest female club in Nigeria”

“We are really happy to be here and starting our story with Bayelsa Queens, the greatest female club in Nigeria. We are going to work hard to help the team to continue winning trophies”, Fehintola added.

NWFL will kick off on November 15.
