Robo Queens Stars, Esther Onyenezide and Opeyemi Ajakaye join Madrid Women

Robo Queens Stars Esther Onyenezide and Opeyemi Ajakaye have joined Madrid CFF in Spain, from the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership side.

Esther announced herself to the globe during the women’s U-20 World.Cup held in Costa Rica.

The former Robo FC Queens attacking midfielder scored three goals in four matches but could not help Nigeria progress beyond the quarte-finals stages after the Falconets were defeated by the Netherlands.

Opeyemi Ajakaye was with Nigeria’s U-20 women at the WAFU-B U-20 tournament in Ghana. And there, she won the tournament’s highest goalscorer with six goals.

Both players have been called up to the Super Falcons recently and are now expected to continue their development at their new club in Madrid
