Remo Stars Ladies striker Dorathy Eshiet felt honored to be awarded at the Soccer Queens Awards.
Eshiet won the Most Valuable Player and highest goal scorer awards in the NWFL Championship category at the Soccer Queens Awards, which were held on Friday at the media center of Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.
She said, “I feel honored. It means a lot to my career based on the fact that I was rewarded for my hard work throughout the league.”
Eshiet was instrumental to Lakeside Queens (Remo Stars Ladies) qualification to the top tier of the Nigeria women football league (NWFL).
Sunshine Queens goalkeeper, Lucky Gift Andy won the best goalkeeper in the Championship category and Diana Asak-Johnson, the coach of Dannaz Ladies, was named the NWFL Championship coach of the year.
