Edo Queen Football Club of Benin has defeated Bayelsa Queens 4-3 in penalty shootouts to win the third edition of the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament (BOWFT) at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
Edo Queens and Bayelsa Queens played 1-1 draw after regular time.
NAIRA SPORTS reported that Edo Queens are the champions of the Sheroes Cup in Abuja.
The Benin based football club was drawn in Group B in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).
In NWFL group B, Edo Queens will battle the defending champions, Delta Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Robo Queens, Ekiti Queens, Remo stars Ladies and Sunshine Queens.
NWFL will start on November 15th across all centers and top three teams in each groups will play in the Super 6 to determine the League champions.
