Nigerian Female Boxer, Adijat Gbadamosi “Dija,” Gears Up Intensely for Showdown Against Uganda’s Salimat Tibesigwa on February 17th

Adijat Gbadamosi, the renowned Nigerian female professional boxer known as “Dija,” has conveyed her unwavering preparedness for the upcoming bout scheduled for February 17th against Uganda’s Salimat Tibesigwa.

In a media conversation, Dija emphasized her consistent commitment to staying in peak condition, underscoring the significance of meticulous preparation for each match.

The Osun-born boxer, fresh from securing victory over Zimbabwean Patience Mastara in the ABU Champion Title held in Accra, Ghana last year, views the bout against Uganda’s Tibesigwa as a crucial opportunity to defend her belt.

Dija, hailing from Ede in Osun State, expressed the profound meaning and importance of the upcoming fight, emphasizing her determination to give her best to secure a win and defend her title.

She disclosed that she has been engaged in rigorous back-to-back training sessions since the beginning of the year, highlighting the silver lining of the bout’s postponement from December last year to February 17th this year, providing her with additional time to prepare adequately.

A notable point to remember is that the initial date for the fight was December 22, 2023, before it was rescheduled to February 17th, 2024.

The highly anticipated bout between Adijat Gbadamosi “Dija” and her Ugandan counterpart, Salimat Tibesigwa, is set to take place at the International A Conference Center in Akwa, the capital of Anambra state, on February 17th.
