Touré spoke to the media after the game, expressing his excitement at his team’s victory. He said.

“I am very happy for the entire team, not because I won the man of the match award. I simply put myself at the disposal of the team. I am very happy with the victory; it was not easy. We believed in it until the end.”

The midfielder, who had an impressive game, also praised the Mauritanian team for being a solid opponent. “We’ve played against Mauritania several times now; they’re a very good team. They were well organized, and our determination ended up defining the result,” the Pyramid of Egypt player said.

Burkina Faso will play against Algeria in their second group game of the tournament on January 20th.
