The finals of the Women’s football tournament at the 13th edition of African Games will witness heavyweights Nigeria and Ghana vie for supremacy on Thursday at Cape Coast Stadium.

Defending Champions Nigeria beat debutants Uganda 2-0 in the first Semi-final clash to reach here.

All the two goals for the Falconets came from substitutes Okah Judith and Chiamaka Okwuchukwu with 20 minutes to climax of the heavily contested tie.

On the same night, Ghana sealed a spot in the finals after a 3-1 win against Senegal.

Tracy Twum and brace hero Ophelia Amponsah found back of net for the hosts while Rokhyatou Kande netted the only consolation for Senegal.

A repeat of last year’s inaugural WAFU B U-20 final, Danjuma’s side will aim to retain the gold they won in 2019.
