The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State chapter, has congratulated Mallam Olayinka Owolewa on his appointment as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Media and Strategic Communications to the Rt Honourable Olawuyi Ajuloopin.
Rt Honourable Olawuyi Ajuloopin is a member representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency (Kwara State) at the House of Representatives.
In a statement signed by the Secretary, Dare Kuti, Chairman of the association, Mallam Ayodeji Ismail, hailed the Rt Honourable Olawuyi Ajuloopin for choosing Mallam Olayinka Owolewa, who he described as very suitable for the position considering his wealth of experience as a journalist.
“On behalf of the executives and entire members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Kwara chapter, I heartily congratulate our leader Mallam Olayinka Owolewa on his appointment as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Media and Strategic Communications.
“Owolewa who is currently the Vice President North Central SWAN (National) has contributed hugely to the development of sports journalists in Kwara and North Central. SWAN strongly believes his appointment will attract more support for the Honourable member.
“SWAN under the leadership of Mallam Ayodeji Ismail is ready to work closely with our Vice President and the Rt Honourable Olawuyi Ajuloopin in promoting their activities”, the statement added.
The statement said the appointment will also bring development to Irepodun Football Council in the next decade.
