Naija Women Football League Awards returns with 2023/2024 NWFL Premiership Season

The management of Nigeria foremost women’s football advocates, the Naija Women Football Awards (NWFLA) have set out to honor exceptional NWFL Premiership players with awards ranging from player of the week to player of the month.

The CEO of the Naija Women Football League Awards, Abolore AbdulRahmon attributed the purpose of the awards is to encourage players playing in the indigenous league and to also recognize their efforts in the game.

He revealed that, the awards have it specified juries that will be saddled with the responsibility of choosing the most deserving player from a set of nominees that will emerged after every match day.

“The purpose of this award is to encourage the football players in our league to do more and also recognizing their hard work.

“This season, we will be concentrating on dolling out awards to players and coaches who are deserving of it and we have our set of juries that is saddled with the responsibilities of choosing the mose deserving players.

“This award will run every week and monthly till the end of the season.”

The NWFL Premiership season is set to kickoff on November 14 at the Oluyemi Kayode stadium, Ekiti between newly promoted Ekiti Queens and defending champions, Delta Queens.

The Naija Women Football League Awards have been up and running since 2018 where different players and coaches have emerged winners.
