NWFL: Remo Stars Ladies coach vows strong comeback after opening day ‘mistake’

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) newly promoted side, Remo Stars Ladies head coach, Wemimo Matthew disclosed that her side have learnt their lessons in the season opener.

Remo Stars Ladies shared spoils with Rivers Angels on Matchday one at the Remo stars stadium.

Ikenne based outfit missed several chances which was begging to be converted as they were able to manage just an equalizer to pick a point in the nervy encounter.

Reacting after the game, Wemmimo said that they will work on the mistakes and return back stronger.

“It was a good game and I believed the girls really tried their best just that luck was not fully on our side and this is thier first time playing in the top flight and yet, they were able to put up all these together.

“My girls lost concentration as we had the chance to score close to three to four goals but first time playing and we have highlighted some of the mistakes. We will work on them to convert our chances,” Wemimo assured
