Bay FC’s highly anticipated home debut in the NWSL is upon them, and the excitement is palpable! With superstar forward Asisat Oshoala leading the charge, all 18,000 seats at PayPal Park in San Jose have been snatched up by eager fans.

Oshoala, a six-time CAF Women’s Player of the Year, isn’t just a player; she’s the face of Bay FC’s inaugural home game. The club has issued advisories to manage the expected surge of fans for this historic matchup against Houston Dash.

Bay FC, the newest member of the NWSL, kicks off on Sunday, March 30th (3 am Nigerian time) at PayPal Park. To ensure a smooth entry, fans are encouraged to arrive 30-45 minutes early. Gates open at 5 pm, providing access to the inaugural FanFest Area. The first 5,000 fans will also receive a commemorative pin.

The 29-year-old Nigerian forward joined Bay FC on a two-year deal after a remarkable run with FC Barcelona. In five seasons, she amassed a staggering 117 goals and a trophy cabinet overflowing with accolades: two Champions League titles, four league titles, three Spanish Super Cups, and three Copas de la Reina.

Founded in April 2023, Bay FC is the 14th team to join the NWSL, adding a new chapter to women’s soccer in the U.S. With a sold-out stadium and a star player hungry for victory, this promises to be a historic and exciting match.
