Rivers Angels attacker Adugbe Olamide lauded her teammates’ efforts after their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Edo Queens in the NWFL Super Six.
This win not only secured them bragging rights in the South-South derby but also a cool N2 million prize.
Speaking after the match, Olamide deflected the spotlight from herself to celebrate the collective effort. “The atmosphere here is fantastic,” she remarked.
“I have to give kudos to the entire team for their incredible effort and teamwork in getting the win against Edo Queens.”

Olamide also expressed her appreciation for the unwavering support from both the team and the Rivers State Commissioner of Sports.
“I’m thrilled to be here and while I’m always pushing to score goals, the most exciting thing for me is being part of this team, Rivers Angels. The commissioner’s support is also a huge motivator for us all,” she told Pulse Sports.
Rivers Angels find themselves level on points (4) with Bayelsa Queens at the top of the NWFL Super Six table.
Their next challenge comes against Nasarawa Amazons on Wednesday.
