Remo Stars defeated Nasarawa United in matchday six of the Nigeria Premier Football League in Ikenne. The Sky Blue Stars bounced back from their previous loss against Kwara United, which they lost 1-0 in Ilorin.
The first 45 minutes ended in a goalless draw, with Remo Stars unable to convert their chances. However, Sikiru Alimi opened the scoresheet for the Sky Blue Stars in the 51st minute with a beautiful header from Stanley Joseph’s cross. Eight minutes later, Stanley Joseph extended Remo Stars’ lead with a fine finish.
Sodiq Ismail made it three for the hosts in the 62nd minute. Notably, Sodiq Ismail has now scored three goals this season as a defender.
Remo Stars’ next game is against Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium. With this win, Remo Stars are top of the table with 15 points, having won five matches out of six.
