Super Eagles forward Boniface set for Bundesliga return.

Ambrose Ahimbisibwe

Few days to the start of 2023 Africa Cup of Nations( AFCON) in Ivory Coast, Victor Boniface left Super Eagles camp back to his parent club after picking up a groin injury.

The 23 year old was forced to undergo a surgery in Berlin that has kept him out since January.

The biggest revelation now is that the player has been spotted doing some light training, leaving anticipation to see him soon on the pitch.

His potential return would be a big boost for leaders Bayer Leverkusen who are currently in contention to win the division for the first time in many years.

Before the setback, Boniface was in fine form for Xabi Alonso’s side, 10 goals and 7 assists to his name in the Bundesliga.
