Waldrum names replacement for Ayinde in Olympics Roster

Initially part of the 18 member squad invited for the summer tournament, midfielder Halimatu Ayinde pulled out after sustaining an injury.

A replacement to fill the slot of former Delta Queens player has been named by Super Falcons trainer Randy Waldrum.

Forward Ifeoma Onumonu is added to the roster in place for Ayinde while Regina Otu comes in as an alternate player.

The duo join teammates in Seville as preparations continue to intensify ahead of finals in Paris.

Nigeria, are in group C alongside 2011 World Champions Japan, Brazil, and inaugural UEFA Women’s Nations League winners, Spain.
