Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong will undergo surgery on Tuesday in Finland.
The Paok defender have not featured for Paok match since he returned from Africa cup of nations tournament.
Ekong suffered the hamstring injury in second group game against IvoryCoast, but played through the pain to help Nigeria finish second in the competition.
He missed only the last group match against Guinea Bissau.
The AFCON player of the tournament had a fantastic display in the tournament scoring three goals and he was name most valuable player of the competition.
