The governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, and the organizers of the competition have received praise from the state’s security force.
The governor, represented by Wasiu Isiaka, the State Commissioner for Sports, warned the security personnel to exercise diligence in their work.
Isiaka who made the commendation at the final of the third edition held at the MKO Abiola Stadiumin Abeokuta.
In addition, he guaranteed that the state’s athletic venues and activities would undergo a significant transformation in time for the National Sports Festival the following year.
NAIRA SPORTS reported that Police defeated the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) 6-5 in the penalty shootout following a goalless draw in regular time.
The Nigerian Correctional Service team won by a walkover after the opposing team, the Nigeria Customs Service, failed to turn up for the match.
