Ahead of DFB Cup Semi-final clash against Fortuna Dusseldorf on Wednesday, Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso has hinted on possibility to see Nigerian forward, Victor Boniface feature again on pitch.
Sustained an injury few days to start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations( AFCON )in Ivory Coast, the 23 year old has been on sidelines since January.
“ We have no injured players. Everyone could be available for the squad ” – said Alonso
The former Real Madrid star further revealed that Boniface may not start but rather get introduced into the game.
“ @boniface_jr could play a part of the game. He trained hard and came through it with a strong mentality. He can’t wait to be back on the pitch”
At time of this setback, the Eagles forward was in deep form, scoring goals for fun in Germany.
