Oha Uche and Ogunbode Timothy continued to create opportunities for Azeez Shakir up front, but Liberty All Stars’ defense thwarted their efforts.

Despite several attempts by Adeyemi FC and their opponents clearing crosses, the first half ended goalless.

In the second half, Ogunbode Timothy came close with a fantastic strike in the 43rd minute, but it missed the target.

Adeyemi FC intensified their attacks on both flanks, increasing the tempo of the game.

In the 48th minute, Shittu Ibrahim assisted Yekin Abdulmatin with a header, and Abdulmatin scored a magnificent goal to put Adeyemi FC ahead.

This goal relieved the pressure on Coach Drey’s team, who continued to press for a second goal. Shittu Ibrahim attempted to score himself, but his shot went wide.

Despite Liberty All Stars’ efforts to equalize, Ibrahim Quadri made a brilliant save to deny their long-range shots.

Okeleke Victor’s strike in the 70th minute was saved by the new goalkeeper, and Victor was replaced by Bello Akeem six minutes later.

In the final 10 minutes, Liberty All Stars launched several counter-attacks, but Adeyemi FC held on to secure a 1-0 victory.

Our goal is to win the League – Adeyemi coach

Head Coach Kolawole Emmanuel commented, “I commend my players for their excellent football and approach, our goal is to win the league, and that’s why we approach every game with determination. Our focus now shifts to the remaining matches, and we will work hard to claim the title.”
