CD Mafra, a Portuguese second-division team renowned for developing young talent, has secured Nigerian striker Stanley Iheanacho on a five-year contract. The 19-year-old joins from FC Midtjylland in Denmark, where he excelled in their youth setup.
Iheanacho Eager to Contribute
Iheanacho is excited about the move, highlighting the abundance of young talent at CD Mafra: “There’s a lot of potential here. I’m looking forward to the new season and developing my skills alongside my teammates.”

The Nigerian forward started his career at FC Hearts Academy before making the switch to FC Midtjylland last year. Though he didn’t see first-team action, his record in the youth team speaks volumes – 19 goals in 30 matches, including a remarkable four-goal performance in a single cup game.

Preparing for the Opener
The striker will now join his new CD Mafra teammates for pre-season training as they gear up for their league opener against Paços Ferreira on August 8th.
