Al-Merrikh Edge Out 3SC in ValueJet Preseason Tournament

Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh have kicked off their ValueJet Preseason Tournament campaign with a 1-0 victory over defending champions 3SC.

The match, played in Ikenne, Ogun State, Nigeria, was a closely contested affair with both teams displaying impressive football.

However, it was Mutaz Hashim’s 77th-minute goal that proved to be the difference-maker.

The win places Al-Merrikh at the top of Group A with three points, while 3SC and Ikorodu City FC, who drew 1-1 in the other group match, occupy the second and third positions respectively.
