From the initial 40 nominees, Nigerian forward Victor Boniface gets a nod in the Bundesliga Team of the season.
Playing his first season in Germany, the 23 year old was pivotal in Bayern Leverkusen’s route to title glory, with 11 goals and 8 assists amid an injury setback.
Boniface, makes the striking line alongside England international Harry Kane, and Serhou Guirassy of VfB Stuggart.
Dominated by the new Champions, five of his teammates were also included on the final list. That is right-back Jeremie Frimpong, Alejandro Grimaldo, Florian Wirtz, Jonathan Tah, and former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka.
Jamal Musiala ( Bayern Munich), Waldemar Anton ( VfB Stuttgart), and Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel complete the puzzle.
