Dynamo SK appoints Adewunmi as Vice chairman

Dynamo SK, a prominent football club competing in the Czech First Division, proudly announces the appointment of Sola Adewumi as its Vice Chairman. A seasoned Nigerian sports marketing expert, Adewumi brings a wealth of experience to Dynamo SK, with a focus on revitalizing the club’s fortunes and enhancing its overall performance.

A graduate of the University of Lagos, Adewumi is well-regarded for his expertise in sports marketing, and his strategic vision aligns seamlessly with Dynamo SK’s aspirations for growth and success. His appointment comes at a crucial juncture for the club, currently facing the threat of relegation in the Czech first league.

In collaboration with the majority owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vladimír Koubek, Adewumi is set to spearhead initiatives aimed at transforming the club’s financial landscape and elevating its position within the league. His plans include implementing global best practices in restructuring the sporting organization and initiating a robust investment drive to attract partners for the club’s development.

In a statement, Adewumi drew parallels between Dynamo SK and Nigeria’s Premier Football League side, 3SC, emphasizing the club’s rich history, passionate fan base, and traditional significance. He stated, “I liken Dynamo CB to Shooting Stars of Ibadan in so many ways. Like Shooting, it is a traditional club with incredible fan affinity and arguably everyone’s favourite second team.”

Adewumi also highlighted the club’s cultural significance, being the third oldest club in the Czech Republic, established in 1900. Dynamo SK is the biggest club in the South Bohemia Region, with Ceske Budejovice serving as the capital of that region, mirroring the historical connection between Ibadan and the Old Western Region in Nigeria.

Commenting on the immediate focus areas, Adewumi stated, “We communicate with investors, sponsors, and other stakeholders at the local, regional, and international levels.” He elaborated on ongoing efforts in restructuring the sporting organization and an investment drive to engage potential partners, fostering growth, and expanding the club’s network in sports technology and player development.

Despite the club’s current position at the bottom of the Czech First League with just 11 points after 19 games, Adewumi expressed confidence in Dynamo SK’s ability to overcome challenges. The club has a resilient history, having successfully returned to the top-flight after suffering relegation three times, most recently in 2005.

Dynamo SK anticipates that Adewumi’s strategic leadership will play a crucial role in directing the club to new heights and ensuring a bright future in Czech football.
Olusola Adewumi has over 15 years of experience in management and consultancy working in Africa, United Kingdom and Europe in – Sports Marketing, Sponsorships, Sports Business, Technology, Agile, Digital, Communication, People and Product management.
