Nigerian athlete Akinrodoye Samuel, widely known as Coach Dreh, tackled a remarkable challenge on Saturday morning.In a powerful display of dedication, he swam the entire 11.8 kilometers across the Lagos Third Mainland Bridge to raise awareness about mental health.

Coach Dreh, CEO of Ocean 28 Swimming Academy, embarked on this impressive feat, starting from Oworonshoki on the Mainland and finishing at Adeniji Adenle on the Island.
The professional swimmer completed the journey in a commendable 2 hours and 33 minutes, fueled by the cheers and support of his friends and colleagues throughout the endeavor.

Fueled by his decade-long swimming career, Coach Dreh emphasized, “This journey proves that anything is possible. Swimming has taught me that I can do anything and become anything I set my mind to.”
He went a step further, highlighting the importance of mental health. “Life throws curveballs,” Coach Dreh acknowledged, “but there’s support available. Taking care of your mental health is so important. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help.”
