Morocco set to host Women’s World Cup

Ahead of the 74th FIFA Congress, the global football council revealed key decisions made inclusive of hosts for it’s upcoming competitions after Thursday meeting.

Morocco, has been named as hosts for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup for the next five years starting 2025.

Held biennially, the tournament will now take place on anual basis and an expansion to 24 teams from the initial 16.

Similarly, middle East nation Qatar will host the FIFA U-17 World Cup from 2025-2029.

With an aim to foster development at youth level, the men’s edition has also been expanded, attracting a number of 48 participants.
