Oshoala arrival bolsters Falcons camp ahead of Banyana clash

Oshoala goal was not enough as Bay FC suffered defeat

National Women’s Soccer League ( NWSL) forward, Asisat Oshoala has finally joined Super falcons camp with almost twenty four hours to the CAF Women’s Olympics qualifier against South Africa.

The former Barcelona striker was yet report for national duty, alongside Chinwendu Ihezuo, and Esther Okoronkwo.

Waldrum’s roster now is complete after the latter landed in the country.

A 16 years absence at the Olympic games, the team looks set to break the jinx against traditional rivals, Banyana Banyana.

Meanwhile, to reach the ultimate round, Nigeria scrambled past another continental powerhouse Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon while the visitors eliminated Tanzania.

The first leg is slated to take place this Friday on 5th April, 2024 at MKO Abiola Stadium before the reverse fixture four days later in Pretoria.
