Plateau SWAN Condemns Plateau United Acting GM’s Criticism, Calls for Apology

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Plateau State Chapter, has issued a press statement expressing strong disapproval of the recent remarks made by the Acting General Manager of Plateau United Football Club, Mr. Hosea Mutla. In the statement, the Chairman, Mr. Andre Bisyit, voices deep concern over Mutla’s comments, emphasizing the integral role SWAN plays in promoting and disseminating information about Plateau United and other sporting activities in and beyond the state.

Addressing the fallout from Mutla’s remarks, the press release directs SWAN members in Plateau State to refrain from reporting any news related to the club until further notice. Mr. Bisyit highlights the importance of fostering a conducive atmosphere for dialogue and resolution amidst the current misunderstanding.

The statement, e-signed by Secretary Alfred Saiki, also calls for an official apology from Mr. Hosea Mutla to the members of SWAN Plateau State Chapter. Mr. Bisyit underscores the significance of mutual respect and collaboration between sports journalists and football clubs for the overall development of sports in the state.
