NWFL: Starter role will end in victory – Heartland Queens Star Chinaka shares optimism

Heartland Queens striker Chinedu Gift Chinaka has assured fans that her side will win big against visitors Dannaz Ladies in Wednesday’s NWFL Premiership matchday six clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

Wednesday’s matchup will be the first time both sides will meet each other in the top flight. They only met in any competition during the 2021/2022 NWFL Championship promotion playoffs in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.

Chinaka said the thought of being leaders going into the new year is a massive motivation for her side to go for a resounding victory against the wanderers from the nation’s center of commerce, Lagos.

“Expect a perfect game from us, I and my teammates will play a good game, play very well to win big.

“The game is the last for the year and our previous home match as well; we will work hard to win; a convincing victory will be good enough to see us go into the new year as leaders of our group.

“The thought of entering the new year as leaders is a massive motivation for us to win.

“I will try contributing to the goals and score to help my team win and pocket the three points. It’s a sure winning for us, I promise our fans,” said the bullish attacker to the club’s media.

The well-built markswoman said she would make the game count as a starter for her and the team’s dreamed Super Six spot.

“Super Six is sure for us; we will get there this season.

“Besides, this is my first starting game since the season started; I will try to make it a celebration and memorable one,” said the former Imo Angels goal poacher.

The Owerri landladies are second on the eight-team Group A log on eight points three adrift leaders Confluence Queens.
