Evolution Cup Day Two: Star Builders Pummels Mallam, Beyond Limits Pip Imperial, SGFC Suffers Defeat

It was a festival of goals on Day two of the ongoing 2024 Evolution Cup which produced fourteen goals in total.

In the first game of the day, Hammola FC defeatd Abraysports FC 1-0 thanks to Ibrahim Isiak five minute goal.

It was a five goal thriller between ten man SGFC Athletics Sports Club and Rolly Football Club.

Rolly raced to a two goal lead inside the first twenty minute courtesy of a brace from Kingsley Epute but SGFC Athletics fought back and level up just before the interval.

Daniel Anate began the comeback when he powered in a sublime free kick to put his side back in the game before captain Ogani Michael tapped in to make it 2-2.

SGFC Athletics were reduced to ten men when defender Stephen Tambari was sent to an early shower after receiving two yellow cards and a red card in the 30th minute.

Rolly FC got the winner late in the second half to hand SGFC Athletics their first defeat in the competition.

It was an entertaining game between Beyond Limits and Imperial FC who had their Chairman in the stands cheering.

Beyond Limits bounced back from yesterday’s defeat to Magic Stars as they edged Imperial 2-1.

Mallam FC’s losing streak continued following a 4-1 thrashing from Star Builders who got their first win after the draw against SGFC Athletics on Monday.
