Nigerian Javelin Star Ugwunwa claims Silver at Paralympics

Nigerian athlete Flora Ugwunwa has soared to a silver medal in the women’s Javelin F54 event at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Paris. 

Ugwunwa’s impressive throw of 19.26 meters secured her the second-place finish.

Nigeria’s medal in Para-Athletics at these Games, adding to their current tally of four medals overall.

Ugwunwa’s success doesn’t stop there. This silver medal adds another chapter to her remarkable Paralympic journey. 

The 40-year-old athlete has now secured her third consecutive Paralympic medal.  Her previous triumphs include gold medals from both Rio and Tokyo, solidifying her position as a force to be reckoned with in Paralympic javelin throwing.
