NNL: Nasarawa United Supporters Club inducts Commissioner for youths and sports

In their bid to galvanize massive support for Nasarawa United FC, the team’s Supporters’ Club, on Friday, unveiled Hon. Jafaru Ango, Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, as its newest high-profile member.

During the unveiling ceremony at the Board Room of the State’s Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Lafia, Chairman of the Supporters’ Club, Ali Jibrin(Baggio) said the decision to induct the Commissioner was borne out of his strong passion for sports and youth development, and the desire of the Supporters’  Club to expand its tentacles across boards to boost the morale of players and coaches of the Club to victory.

After his induction, the Commissioner, Jafaru Ango, commended the Supporters’ Club for the laudable initiative to involve members from across divides, promising to give both his and Government’s undiluted support to the group to strengthen their efforts to propel Nasarawa United to success.

He, however, warned members of the Supporters’ Club to desist from any act that is inimical or  unwholesome to the essence of establishing the club as neither the Government nor Nasarawa United would fold her arms and watch miscreants infiltrate the Supporters’ Club to forment troubles which could incur fines and penalties to the team.

The ceremony was attended by the Permanent Secretary, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, Director of Sports Organizing, Lawrence Shammah as well as Chairman of Nasarawa United FC, Dr. Othman Ibrahim Ahmed.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of the Supporters’ Club branded jersey and face-cap to the Commissioner by Chairman of the Supporters’ Club to confirm his formal membership.
