This clash marks the first-ever league meeting between the premier league sides, with memories still fresh from their previous encounter in the 2023 Federation Cup round of 32 in Asaba.

Heartland Queens emerged victorious on that occasion, and both teams are eager to secure a win in this league matchup.

Heartland Queens, led by their coach Obi Ogbala, are in high spirits, boasting key players such as Lucky Mary, Chinedu Chinaka, Onyinyechi Kalu, and Chimebere Opara.

The return of Lucky Mary to top form significantly boosts the team. Goalkeeper Uchenna Chukwu, defenders Kelechi Orgii, Onyedikachi Ekezie, Chinyere Iheoma, and captain Ekaette Akpata form a solid defensive line.

The midfield will be orchestrated by players like Oluchi Okwara, Nwabueze Charles, Chidinma Anaele, and Oluchi Ofoegbu, ensuring a well-rounded team effort.

Heartland Queens, one point behind Confluence Queens and leaders Nasarawa Amazons, is eyeing an outright victory to challenge for the top spot in the eight-team Group A standings.

The team’s determination and recent successes position them as serious contenders in the ongoing NWFL season.
